Vor kurzem trafen sich die besten Akkordeonisten des Landes in Kernen-Stetten zum musikalischen Wettbewerb der Akkordeonjugend des Deutschen Harmonikaverbandes. Nach intensiver Vorbereitung durch Akkordeonlehrer Thomas Weigel trug Duenas im vollbesetzten Vortragssaal seine Wertungsstücke "Balkantanz" von Jürgen Löchter und "Libertango" von Astor Piazzolla der Jury vor und konnte sich mit der Note "ausgezeichnet" und 36,7 Punkten unter den Top 4 des Landes Baden-Württemberg platzieren. Mit diesem Erfolg verbunden Manuel Duenas is an invitation for the participation in the summer of 2010, the accordion Youth Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg with a concert tour to Bremen and northern Germany. bz

This competition of the German Harmonica Association of districts Stuttgart-Ludwigsburg, Staufen, Lower Neckar and Würm Nagold was organized recently by the harmonica community Ludwigsburg.

This past weekend was held in Ludwigsburg, the annual Solo / Duo / Band Competition. My program consisted of Balkan dance / Löchter and the famous Libertango / Piazzolla. Next to me were in my category 4 other players with pieces by Bach, Scarlatti and Zolotarev. Fortunately I was able to first Place show in the second-best daily score solo competition.
